Growing up my dad always told me that someone’s always watching you. When you think you’re alone and no one is watching you, think again.
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve witnessed people cheating on their partners, in mall parking lots, library parking lots, rest stops, truck stops and many more places all while living in my van. The story I’m about to tell you, while short and sweet, is one I’ll never forget.
Someone’s Always Watching You
Because I live in a van, I always get the question, “what do you watch movies on?” Well, I have an iPad pro that I watch movies on, but I hardly use it. Why? I mean why watch movies when I have real-life, nonfiction situations play out right in front of me on a daily basis. The most elaborate, what appeared to be a cheating, or a forbidden love situation played out in front of me on a sunny afternoon in the parking lot of a boring and quiet library.
Libraries are the most interesting places to see things play out. You’d be surprised how my different things I’ve seen play out in a library parking lot while living in my van. I believe this situation happened on a Monday afternoon. That day It was particularly hot, I remember parking in the shade so that I could use my fan and open my side window so that I didn’t have to run my generator. I was trying to stealth camp that day. I wanted to take a nap without drawing too much attention to myself because of my semi loud generator.
As I was about to lay down for my nap, I looked out my side window out of habit to make sure I didn’t see anything suspicious, and what I saw was a black SUV with tinted windows pass my van slowly and stop about four feet from a gray BMW. Normally I wouldn’t think nothing of it, but what caught my attention was the black SUV didn’t park, it just stopped and for the longest time no one got out. After about 20 mins or so I saw a young man probably in his mid-twenties exit out the passenger side door of the SUV and walked over to the driver side door of the SUV.
The young man opened the door and a woman who appeared to be in her late forties got out and embraced him in a hug and a long passionate kiss, this lasted for about a couple of minutes. Thereafter, they said their goodbyes, then he got into his BMW and drove over to a red car that was also parked in library parking lot. I saw another young man who looked to be about 18 years old exit the red car and got into the BMW. Shortly after, they sped off.
After the BMW sped off, the older woman who drove the black SUV pulled up to the same red car, at which point a young lady who looked to be about 18 years old got out the car and walked over to her passenger side door. She opened the door and three young kids got out the car and jumped into the black SUV. The Young lady who I presumed was a babysitter, walked over to the driver side door of the black SUV and collected some money from the older woman. After the exchange took place, the black SUV drove off and the young lady got back into her car and left shortly after.
This is what I believed took place that Monday afternoon. One of two possibilities happened that afternoon in the library parking lot. Possibility number one, one of the two individuals, or both were having an affair, and while the affair took place the older woman had a couple of young adults watch her kids. Possibility number two, of the two individuals, one of the individual’s family or both families forbid them to see each other so they saw each other in secret.
Either way it’s a sad situation. By the way that was not the first time I’ve seen them meet up in the library parking lot. That was the second time they met up, and on the second time the young male who appeared to be sneaking around to see the older woman stared at my van for minute before leaving. As if he knew he was being watched. LOL. He could not see me though. Got to love window shades. That was the last time I saw them. Maybe they relocated!
